New CEPA Training Location Announced: Phoenix, Arizona

Considerable research has been conducted over the past 18 months from the efforts of many CEPAs and partners via the Micro-Market State of Owner Readiness Research.

Taking that research even deeper, EPI has found what many now know to be called the “Middle 60”. This means that 60% of owners would work with an advisor on their transition strategy if that advisor better engaged them or better educated them in the process. Further research shows that 80% – 99% of business owners indicated that they agreed with the following statement: ‘Transition Strategy is important to my future and the future of my business.’ Owner engagement and attendance was also up in 2017, indicating that owners are, at a bare minimum, intrigued.

As we see the immediate marketplace of baby boomer business owners approach their 5-year plans of transition, they are reaching out to their trusted advisors to help them attack this challenge of growth and preparation. The Exit Planning Institute arms advisors with the tools and resources needed to serve their own clients and positively change their transition outcomes. Therefore, EPI is expanding their training and development to help advisors position themselves as that valued advisor when that call comes in from those owners in the “Middle 60” by launching a new CEPA Training Center in Phoenix, Arizona at The Marriott Tempe Resort at The Buttes from October 15-19, 2018.

All business owners will eventually transition. Are we, as their trusted advisor, going to be prepared when that time comes? Make sure you’re equipped with the right team, skills, and support needed to help those owners effectively execute this milestone in their lives.

About Exit Planning Institute:

EPI LogoThe Exit Planning Institute (EPI) is an education company that provides exit planning education to advisors and middle market business owners.  We view exit planning as a strategy, not an event.

EPI leads the professional services profession with the best industry content, ongoing support, and owner education platform, all of which align with our mission: Change the outcome.

Only 2 out of every 10 businesses that come to market actually sell.  We want to increase the number of saleable businesses.

Only 30% of family businesses successfully transition to the second generation, only 12% transfer to the third, and the success rates diminish from there.  We want to improve those intergenerational transitions.

Of those that succeed in the sale of their business, 75% experience “profound regret” within one year of exiting their business.  We want to understand why and create strategies that achieve profound success, wealth, and satisfaction.

EPI is an education company, powered by an elite community of top advisors and owners, all focused toward creating a valuable, transferable future for the business marketplace.
