Exit Planning Institute Community Event

CELEBRATE GROWTH IN THE INDUSTRY AND LOCAL COMMUNITY

As the exit planning industry continues to rapidly grow, so does the EPI team. Back in February, the Exit Planning Institute moved into a new home in order to support the quickly expanding team. In 2019, EPI has welcomed Joe Klauer, Member Experience Representative, and Scott Lang, Business Development Manager, and is planning to add two more team members by the end of Summer.

The Exit Planning Institute moved its headquarters to Westlake, OH and to celebrate, EPI will be hosting an open house on July 10 from 5:00 – 7:30 P.M. Take this opportunity to come meet the EPI team, network, and explore the headquarters. Join us to enjoy drinks hors d’oeuvres while mingling with great company. To learn more, click here.

Moving to a bigger building caused CEO, Chris Snider, to reflect on the beginning times of the Exit Planning Institute. From the time when EPI had 120 members and two CEPA programs a year, to 1,500 members and six CEPA programs a year.

“If I am being honest with you, the expansion of our team and EPI family is a dream come true.”

Expanding our team, to us, means expanding our family. We are now able to be more interactive and able to specialize in different aspects, instead of having a shallow knowledge in many aspects. With a bigger team, we will be able to work in the future and focus on leadership development. Though we are becoming a larger team, you can still count on the personalized experience and customer support that EPI prides itself on.

As part of our Open House we wanted to bring attention to a local organization near and dear to our hearts. EPI is proud to support America Scores, an organization that has worked to inspire Cleveland youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. America Scores is an organization that Vice President, Scott Snider is passionate about. He has been on the board for six years. Snider found that his personal core values align with the values of America Scores which immediately ignited his need to become involved with the organization. More than a credentialing company.

“This Methodology is Going to Supercharge My Practice!” -Justin Goodbread, CEPA, CFP®

Official ‘Exit Planning’ Definition: Exit planning combines the plan, concept, effort, and process into a clear, simple strategy to build a business that is transferable through strong human, structural, customer, and social capital. The future of the business owner, his/her family, and the business itself are addressed by exit planning through creating value today.

Exit planning is not just a plan (or a keyed-in report to print out for an owner). It is a strategy rooted in execution that grows value while expanding options so that an owner can transition the business on his/her terms when they are ready. It aligns the business, personal, and financial needs of the owner. Good exit planning utilizes the Value Acceleration Methodology™ to move clients through discovery, prepare, and decide gates. Certified Exit Planning Advisors (CEPA) educate the owner on all of the exit options and enters an engagement with an exit-option-agnostic perspective as to truly serve the business owner’s diverse needs. CEPAs collaborate with a seasoned, multi-disciplinary team of professionals to support the success of the business owner and use each other’s specialties and expertise to the benefit of the project.
