For 32 years Diane Drey directed SnowBird, a five-gallon bottled water company in the New York area. Drey’s team included 120 employees. Her expertise is in financial control, marketing and negotiations.
During her tenure, she focused on branding, product line & territory expansion. Growth led the company to leave its Manhattan roots and relocate to an expanded facility in Jersey City.
Drey was supported by a cohesive management team & exceptionally loyal work force. She implemented creative compensation systems empowering employees to increase their own earnings. Drey’s purchased several companies. In 2008 sold SnowBird to an international firm which allowed her to “retire young”. By that time, the business had been in operation for 87 years.
In “retirement” Drey founded and ran for five years a culinary travel business which brought serious chefs from around the world to Chengdu China.
Since 2008 Drey has been active with Score NYC, a volunteer business counseling organization . Drey has counseled over 950 entrepreneurs. Her focus is profitability & she light-heartedly calls herself the “money lady”. From 2014 to 2016, Drey was Chairperson of the Score NYC chapter which has 100 members.
Drey holds an MBA from New York University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School Executive Education Owners and Presidents Management program (OPM #32.)
