Value and Levers to Close The Value Gap

GREATER NASHVILLE CHAPTER EVENT

Value and Levers to Close The Value Gap

This meeting will focus on a real-world example of a valuation with specific focus on what drives the value higher and lower.  The speaker will identify how that can lead to the value gap between what a business owner expects to receive for their business, and what the market will pay for their business.  There will also be advice for advisors on the practical application of knowledge of the value gap when communicating with business owners.

Learning Objectives:

  • High-level overview of valuation and the value gap
  • Understanding of the levers that a business owner can pull to narrow the value gap and increase the value of their business
  • Ways that an advisor can communicate/aid the business owner when talking about value
