Most owners focus on sales and income only. Understandable, but misguided. It is critical that an owner focuses on the multiple since it is ultimately where the real value creation lies. Frankly, when you focus on building an attractive, ready business, the income will follow. But what does that mean and how can you make valuation a mainstay in your value growth initiatives, in a way that is both intuitive and simple. In the past, wealth was created from physical assets: land, natural resources, and human and machine labor. But technology has disrupted that entire system. Today, wealth is created by your ability to create, transfer, assemble, integrate, protect, and exploit knowledge capital. These are intangible assets.

The Five Stages of Value Maturity, within the Value Acceleration Methodology™, can be managed to successfully (and rapidly) grow business value and the strength of “knowledge capital.” In this session, Chris Snider will teach you how to measure progress within the stages of value to optimal results and how adopting the Value Maturity Index can help business owners understand and manage the impact their actions have on their business value goals.
