Collaboration At Its Best Part 1: Partnering and Tools for Increased Engagement

SAN DIEGO CHAPTER EVENT

Collaboration At Its Best Part 1: Partnering and Tools for Increased Engagement

As the first in a 4-part series that will demonstrate collaboration at its best, it’s important to first explore the tools, process, and key elements needed for successful teams to facilitate an entrepreneur’s complete business succession journey from pre-engagement, discovery, value creation, and the eventual transition.  Developing a successful team is more challenging than it sounds.  This session is designed to review some of the basics (and not-so-basics) and then practice them with your fellow members using contemplative questions, light role play, and fun conversation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Key elements and tools needed for multi-disciplinary teams to succeed
  • A methodology that considers all relevant people, relationships, systems, processes, financial metrics, and time horizons associated with an owner’s options
  • Role play to practice pre-engagement conversations

EXIT PLANNING IS GOOD BUSINESS STRATEGY

The EPI Local Chapter is different than other groups because it brings together a diverse group of professionals from a wide range of specialties that can naturally work collaboratively on exit planning, succession planning, value growth, transaction or any engagement from both sides of the equation. The chapter meets regularly to network, reconnect, grow knowledge, and sharpen their skills with a common goal: Change the outcome for transitioning business owners. Make plans to join us for future events and connect with the local leadership by visiting www.EPISanDiego.org.
