The difference is improv actors practice thinking on their feet, active listening and being comfortable with the uncomfortable to move forward positively. This interactive workshop will use professional improvisational training to stretch participants communication muscle to increase flexibility, confidence in risk-taking, and being comfortable with the uncomfortable.

Learning Objectives:

President, Improv Boss

Meet Meghan Powell.

Meghan Powell, is the owner and founder of Improv Boss; an interactive corporate training company using improvisational based training: Learning with a Laugh. Meghan has a background in technology sales and recruiting. She is a professionally trained improviser having graduated from the world renowned improv theaters: The Second City Conservatory program, iO Theater and The Annoyance Theater. She was the Winner of the 2016 Chicago Improv Classic. Meghan has a bachelor degree in marketing with a minor in theater from Cornerstone University. She has been combining her theater education with the business world. While being a professional improviser she continued her corporate career in sales. She launched Improv Boss full time in the fall of 2019 where Meghan has worked with a wide range of industries — from athletic recruiting, finance, technology sales, cosmetology, and education. When Meghan isn’t busy sharing her passion of implementing improv training to the business world, you can find her performing regularly in the Chicagoland area with her improv teams; Sam Hill, Delorean, and Tundra.
