Many non financial advisors are not deeply familiar with the basics of financial statements, Balance Sheets and P and L reports. This workshop will help educate and demonstrate the importance of having a fluid working knowledge of business financials and why this knowledge can help all advisors to a better job for their business owner clients. . This session will be in a workshop, hands on format and all attendees will leave with now ways to help their clients.  Non CEPA’s are most welcome…..

Parking & Directions:

The Witte Museum is located at 3801 Broadway in Brackenridge Park, just north of downtown. Take the Adventure Walk from the parking garage to the H-E-B Lantern Entrance, located on Broadway St. Members of the Witte Museum staff are available for personal tours of the museum after the session.

Meet Evan Gedminas.

Evan is a seasoned executive and consultant with 20+ years of experience in strategic management and corporate finance, accounting, and administration.  He is skilled at collaborating with entrepreneurs and executives to define their strategic goals, identify opportunities, and design and implement solutions to operational and administrative challenges consistent with their goals.  Evan is also a skilled facilitator, able to coordinate multiple professional resources, including legal, HR, and ICT advisers, to fill gaps and achieve his clients’ goals.

 

Evan’s talents are particularly valuable for start-ups and small-to-medium sized businesses experiencing significant change, whether through organic growth, mergers and acquisitions, or ownership and management transitions.  He has a passion for helping companies maximize their potential by successfully navigating through these periods of change.  In developing solutions for his clients, Evan utilizes a holistic approach and a broad working knowledge of multiple disciplines, including strategic planning, corporate governance, organization structure, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, systems integration, information technology, human resources, process improvement, and federal, state, local and international taxation.

 

Prior to founding Gedminas Consulting, Evan spent 14 years as a finance and administrative executive and corporate officer for a privately held multi-national biotech firm focused in agribusiness.  During that tenure, he worked closely with the founders to navigate the demands of growth, from a start-up to a horizontally and vertically integrated enterprise with multiple service, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, retail, R&D, and licensing divisions spread over 30 subsidiaries in over 15 countries.  Evan started his career in retail and restaurant management, followed by four years in public accounting prior to moving to industry.

 

Evan lives with his wife in San Antonio, and together they are raising a senior Aggie engineer, a 2nd grade swimming champ, and a kindergarten princess.
