Many business owners assume that key employees or family members do not have the resources or ability to complete a successful acquisition.  As a result, they never fully consider a viable exit strategy that has many advantages and can produce a superior outcome over selling to an external third party.   Through numerous real world examples, participants will learn the ingredients of a successful insider transfer and many of the strategies and tools that can be used to ensure a successful outcome that mitigates risk for outgoing owners.

Learning Objectives:

  • How to recognize opportunities for successful transfers
  • Learn primary strategies and tools for transferring ownership to insiders while mitigating risks for selling owners
  • Identify and anticipate typical challenges in insider transfers and how to overcome them.
  • Understand how an owner’s advisory team can best support an insider transfer
