Chapter Purpose: The purpose of the EPI Twin Cities Chapter is to create a forum where the local community of professional advisors can collaborate to address unique needs of the local community; develop educational programs for business owners and professional advisors to build awareness and better prepare an owner for the successful exit of their business; develop, encourage and foster the adoption of best practices for the exit planning profession; and promote the common business interests of those business advisors engaged in the profession of exit planning.

2023 Twin Cities Metro Area State of Owner Readiness™

Recent results show that more than half of Minnesota State of Owner Readiness Survey respondents are 57 years or younger. This statistic is a stark shift from the 2017 Twin Cities Metro Area State of Owner Readiness’s results, which indicated that nearly 60% of owners were baby boomers. In 2023, 94% of surveyed business owners revealed that having a transition strategy was key for their futures and the future of their businesses.
