WHY THE ANNUAL EXIT MATTERS

Exit planning is good business strategy. Historically, around 75% of owners have experienced profound regret after exiting their business. This regret often stems from a lack of a personal plan, or, exiting away from the business rather exiting to the next thing.

The latest issue of the Annual Exit focuses on the deep personal planning that is essential for aligning the Three Legs of the Stool, a core concept in the Value Acceleration Methodology. Designed to elevate conversations and broaden perspectives, the Annual Exit contains thought leadership, strategic and thought-provoking questions, as well as real-world stories from the subject matter experts that are working in the space.

As we highlight the Peter Christman Exit Planner of the Year, we recognize the kind of leadership and intent that Certified Exit Planning Advisors in the field are employing today.

As a tangible body of work, the Annual Exit is designed to be read, referenced, and revisited and is a demonstration of the Exit Planning Institute's (EPI) commitment to education, thought leadership, and advancing the profession

THE PETER CHRISTMAN EXIT PLANNER OF THE YEAR

Each year, EPI recognizes a CEPA who demonstrates leadership and mastery in the exit planning field. This individual not only works to achieve better outcomes for business owners, but also stands as an example and point of reference for their exit planning peers and colleagues.

The award, named after EPI co-founder and exit planning trailblazer, the late Peter Christman, recognizes the ongoing growth and expansion of the profession. As Peter pioneered a value-focused exit planning process, we honor his legacy by recognizing our new exit planning pioneers today. As the business owner demographic continues to expand, it is more critical than ever to have exit planning leaders who are willing to go the extra mile for their clients and set the standard for the profession.

Each Annual Exit cover and cover story highlights the Peter Christman Exit Planner of the Year, their story, and their path beyond success and toward significance.
