CHAPTER
Chapter Purpose: The purpose of the EPI Wisconsin Chapter is to create a forum where the local community of professional advisors can collaborate to address unique needs of the local community; develop educational programs for business owners and professional advisors to build awareness and better prepare an owner for the successful exit of their business; develop, encourage and foster the adoption of best practices for the exit planning profession; and promote the common business interests of those business advisors engaged in the profession of exit planning.
Recent studies show that 66% of the current American business market is owned by Baby Boomers, who are set to transition over the next zero to ten years. Statistics also show that only 20% – 30% of businesses that go to market actually sell; leaving up to 80% of those without solid options to harvest their wealth and ensure economic continuity into the next generation. An owner who is “ready” with an attractive business greatly increases the odds that the business will survive a transition of hands. The question is, how ready your marketplace? Find out now by downloading the 2018 Wisconsin State of Owner Readiness Report!
We expect this to be a great networking event for business owners and professionals interested in exit planning and business ownership transitions, so even if you don’t plan to shoot, please join us for the networking.
This program will feature five professionals discussing the business owners importance of family dynamic psychology, how to properly prepare for the due diligence phase of your business evolution, and more!
Our fourth annual Business Owners Forum provides owners with a look at the future – where the business has the potential to go and how business owners may maximize the value of their greatest personal asset – their business.
