ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Kariann Voorhees founded Voorhees Law Group, PC, to serve the unique needs of growing families and business owners. Combining her business and real estate experience with a passion for teaching, Kariann provides comprehensive estate planning and guidance tailored to each client’s goals.
Her practice ranges from probate avoidance, incapacity planning, and estate settlement to advising high-net-worth families on complex issues, including income tax, estate tax, and asset protection. Known for her clarity and empathy, Kariann takes pride in simplifying complex legal matters and helping clients make confident, informed decisions.
Beyond her practice, Kariann is co-founder of the Mandros Family Foundation, which supports families facing medical hardship, and serves as President of the Inland Empire Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute, fostering collaboration among advisors serving business owners.
Kariann lives in Yorba Linda with her husband and three children, where they enjoy camping, hiking, and cheering on Chicago’s sports teams—especially the Cubs’ historic World Series win.
Meet James Bruner:
Jim started in the financial services industry in 1990 with Bank of America. Prior to joining UBS in 2007, Jim was a Senior Vice President with US Trust, a division of Bank of America, in Palm Desert. Jim has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1999 and was licensed as a Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) in 2018. He holds an M.S. in financial planning from the College for Financial Planning and a B.A. in communications from California State University, Fullerton. Jim was granted the designation Master Planner Advanced Studies (MPAS) in November 2013 and the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 2019.
He is former Chairman of the Board of the Riverside International Automative Museum, and he sits on the board of the Palm Springs International Film Festival. He is past board president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert and Past Vice President of the Indian Wells chapter of Childhelp. Jim has taught investments, financial planning, and corporate finance as an adjunct professor for the University of Redlands and California State University, San Bernardino. Jim lives with his wide, Kelly, in Bermuda Dunes, and enjoys outdoor activities, including off-roading and boating.
