DAVID LOBECK
2026 marks my 26th year as a financial advisor with Edward Jones, but not all at once. Allow me to explain.
My Edward Jones career began in 1987, opening our firm's first office in Scottsburg, IN. I then opened our second New Albany, IN, branch in 1992 and served our clients until 1996.
From 1996 to 2010, I worked with PGA TOUR golf professional Fuzzy Zoeller to launch "The Wolf Challenge," an annual pro-celebrity golf event held at Covered Bridge Golf Club. As a bonus, I was able to work with a lot of very interesting people in the worlds of sport, business and entertainment, many of whom remain friends and became clients.
In 2011, I was asked to return to Edward Jones at our Jeffersonville location, an invitation I happily accepted. Since returning, I have become a limited partner with the firm and have worked with new financial advisors in growing their practices. I now hold the position of client solutions leader in our region. In this leadership role, I help other financial advisors learn and apply new methods of serving their clients. I hold the Chartered Financial Consultant® and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designations.
I serve clients both locally and nationally. My ideal clients are those needing to accomplish big goals that are most important to them. This includes planning and living in retirement, legacy considerations, protecting against the unexpected, and comprehensive financial advice.
As a 26-year industry veteran, I have been interviewed by newspaper publications nationally. In my free time, I host a nationally syndicated newspaper column called "BBQ My Way." Simply put, I'm a proud "foodie," as are a lot of my clients.
I earned a B.S. degree in business at Indiana State University with concentrations in economics, finance and insurance.
My wife, Liz, is a former English teacher at Holy Family Parish in New Albany, IN, and continues to tutor. We have been married 36 years and have three children: Emily (34), Andrew (32) and Madeline (29).
Our branch office administrator is Dana Jones. We work hard to help our clients achieve the things that are most important to them.
We are currently accepting new clients on a selective basis based on their needs and our capacity to deeply serve each client.
