ERIC ABBOTT
As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), Eric Abbott is equipped with the training, skills, and tools needed to strengthen relationships with business owners and serve as their most trusted advisor.
Through the knowledge learned in the credentialing program, CEPAs® holistically plan for an owner’s life outside of their business while successfully building significant value in their organization prior to their exit. Not only will a CEPA® help you effectively transition your business, but will also advise you on personal and personal financial matters.
When success increases, financial decisions tend to carry more weight.
I work primarily with business owners who have built strong income and consistent cash flow but want their financial decisions to feel clear and intentional instead of reactive.
Many reach a point where the business is working and income is meaningful, but it is not always clear how that success translates into long term personal wealth.
That process often begins by identifying where income is being lost and improving after tax outcomes through coordination of compensation, retirement planning, and cash flow decisions.
As that foundation is built, the conversation expands into organizing the full financial picture and turning business income into personal financial strength.
Over time, this creates the ability to reduce dependence on the business and build flexibility.
It also leads to a deeper focus on the business as an asset. For many owners, their largest source of wealth sits inside the business, but it has not been intentionally developed in a way that allows them to benefit from it over time.
I help owners understand what makes a business more transferable and how to create flexibility, whether that means keeping it in the family, stepping back over time, or eventually selling to a third party.
My role is to guide that progression so business success translates into lasting personal wealth.
I also work with individuals and families navigating major life transitions, helping simplify complexity and bring clarity to important decisions.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, I help evaluate and implement tax aware strategies to support better outcomes. When needed, I coordinate with CPAs and attorneys so decisions remain aligned.
Inspired by my father’s 38 years with Edward Jones, I believe great advice starts with listening, thoughtful guidance, and consistent follow through.
When working together, you can expect:
• A clear understanding of what matters most
• An organized financial life
• Proactive communication
• Guidance designed to protect what you have built
Forsyth County has been my home since 2001, and I am proud to support the community.
I am supported by Kylie Moss, who brings professionalism and care to each client relationship.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, chess, disc golf, and helping on our horse farm.
Please reach out if you are looking for a clear and organized approach.
