GERALD GRANT III
As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), Gerald Grant is equipped with the training, skills, and tools needed to strengthen relationships with business owners and serve as their most trusted advisor.
Through the knowledge learned in the credentialing program, CEPAs® holistically plan for an owner’s life outside of their business while successfully building significant value in their organization prior to their exit. Gerald Grant III is the Vice President of the G Financial Group with Equitable Advisors, LLC. Gerald is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Chartered Financial Consultant. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 66 & 24 registrations and is insurance licensed. Gerald holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Hampton University. He has been awarded the title of Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach, issued by Columbia University’s Coaching Center of Excellence. He has also been awarded the title of Retirement Planning Specialist by Equitable Advisors, after receiving a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Gerald is the author of The Pivotal Game Plan: A Guide to Navigating the Financial Seasons of Your Life and the co-author of the father and son book, The Power of Generational Wealth. He has been featured in media outlets such as Forbes, Business Insider, Yahoo Finance, NBC, Barron and US News. In addition to his written publications, Gerald has shared his industry knowledge on podcasts and radio shows.
Gerald grew up around his father's business - Gerald Grant, Jr. - who has been a Financial Consultant with the company for over twenty years. During his high school and college years, Gerald III interned at the company during his summer vacations. After graduating from college, he was employed as a consultant at Deloitte in Washington, DC. However, after two years, Gerald decided to return to Miami to follow in his father's footsteps.
Gerald and his father partnered to create the G Financial Group, a multigenerational comprehensive planning firm with the vison to empower individuals to live life more abundantly. They believe in education, comprehensive planning, and exceptional service. Gerald collaborates with coaches, athletes, business owners, attorneys, and other professionals, to unlock an abundance mindset and create a playbook to achieve their financial goals.
While serving his clients at Equitable, Gerald also serves as the Co-Chair of the Tech Committee and DC branch co-representative for the National Advisors Forum. In 2021 & 2022, Gerald was selected to be a protégé in the Leaders Advocating for Producer Success (LAPS) Sponsorship Program, which identifies up and coming leaders within the organization and pairs them with leadership to groom them for success. He also actively mentor’s newer advisors on the skills and disciplines needed to better serve their clients. He is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and FINSECA. He serves on the Diversity & Future of the Profession working group for FINCESA. Gerald is an auxiliary member of the National Bar Association and National Association of Basketball Coaches. Gerald is also the former Co-Chair of the Executive Committee for LINC of the United Way of Miami-Dade. Gerald is 2024 inductee of the Hampton University Forty Under 40 society.
In his free time Gerald enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his wife Chanel, daughters Ryan & Zoe, family, and friends.
