JIM RICE
Jim Rice is the Managing Partner and a Private Wealth Advisor at Cordian Wealth, a family focused wealth management firm serving more than 400 families and business owners across the country. He specializes in helping business owners, executives, and families align their financial resources with their values, goals, and long-term vision.
As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), Jim works with business owners to prepare for one of the most significant events of their lives: transitioning a business. He believes successful exit planning goes beyond maximizing enterprise value. It requires thoughtful coordination of personal, financial, tax, estate, and legacy planning to help owners achieve the outcomes that matter most to them, their families, and their businesses.
In addition to the CEPA® designation, Jim is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Behavioral Financial Advisor™. His approach combines technical planning expertise with behavioral coaching, helping clients make decisions that are both financially sound and personally meaningful.
Jim believes that while a financial plan is important, the true value lies in the advice behind it. His philosophy is simple: a plan does not make a difference until it is implemented, and it will not be implemented until the client believes it matters to them.
At Cordian Wealth, Jim leads the firm's strategic vision and advisory team while working directly with clients to help them build, preserve, and transfer wealth across generations. The firm's name reflects its guiding philosophy: just as individual strands are woven together to create a strong and resilient cord, financial success is achieved when values, goals, and strategies are aligned and working together.
Based in North Carolina, Jim enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and helping multiple generations of families navigate their financial futures with confidence. When he is not working with clients, he enjoys spending time with family, supporting his community, and helping others create a meaningful legacy through thoughtful planning.
