LAURA CLAPP
The core values embedded in me from a strong family and client-first investment firm remain the foundation of my practice.
My Edward Jones career began in 2012. Previously, I owned the accounting firm, Laura M Clapp, CPA, and I worked over 20 years in banking as both a manager and business lender. I work with clients here in North Carolina and many other states. I hold Series 7 and 66 registrations for investments and an insurance license.
I attended the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, where I double majored in finance and economics, graduating summa cum laude in 1991 with highest honors. In 1994, I received my master's in accounting from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and represented the university as their graduate case scholar.
I serve at Edward Jones as a financial advisor, regional leader, field trainer and mentor. An active member of the community, I am a Siler City Rotarian and past president. I served 14 years on the Chatham Hospital governing board, with eight years as chairman of the board. In 2006, I was honored to be the recipient of the Chatham County Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award, presented by the Chatham County Chamber of Commerce.
I live on a farm here in Chatham County that has been in the Clapp family since 1849. Al Clapp is my husband of 35 years and we have three grown children: Ivey, Carson and Caroline.
I am dedicated to serving the financial needs of my neighbors, friends and family. I strive to deliver my dedicated, honest assistance with your most confidential matters by working closely with you, your CPA, your attorney and other professionals.
It's all about you. So, let me know how I can serve you.
