MARCOS CIGAGNA
With his distinct blend of optimism and common sense, Marcos applies a steady hand and sense of perspective to the financial needs of his clients. Honest and transparent, he believes in having candid conversations around the essential financial matters in their lives.
Marcos devotes each day to helping his clients set long-term goals, preparing financial plans and identifying the right investment mix for their funds. He addresses their full financial picture, including retirement, gifting, trusts and estate planning, and even milestones such as a family wedding.
Among the families and individuals he serves are business owners, corporate executives, professional athletes and retirees. Marcos invests his personal attention into every client relationship. “I take the time to get to know each one on a deeper, more personal level to truly understand what’s important to them and what they want to accomplish,” he says.
Marcos has earned the Private Wealth Advisor designation from Raymond James. This designation reflects his experience in managing the financial concerns of families, individuals and organizations of significant wealth, and his mastery of methods and resources necessary to support their expansive financial interests.
Marcos has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and has a broad knowledge of international business. He has been featured as a guest speaker at Barron’s Advisory Team Summit, an invitation-only, higher education conference.
Before joining Raymond James in May 2021, he was a senior financial advisor and managing director of investments at Wells Fargo. Earlier in his career, he was a senior vice president of investments at Bank of America and a vice president at UBS Financial. He holds a post-baccalaureate degree in executive management and an MBA from the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business.
After earning a Doctor of Laws from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, Marcos found himself attracted to the financial industry. “The law profession is reactive. The financial industry is dynamic – and I’m adaptable and like to be proactive,” Marcos says. “Plus, there are more opportunities to help people through finance. I love to educate and mentor.”
Marcos is originally from Brazil and lives in Orlando, Florida, with his wife, Ana, and son, Leonardo. He speaks four languages: English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. In his free time, Marcos enjoys scuba diving, skiing and golf. He is also involved in many different charities. “I have a very active lifestyle and very social family, and we enjoy participating in charitable events like Dream Cars 4 Kids.
