Megan Cochran is a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor at Beacon Pointe Advisors in the New Orleans, Louisiana office. Since beginning her career in 2009, she has built experience in comprehensive financial planning, working with business owners, executives, and families to align their financial decisions with their long-term goals. As part of her role, Megan is actively involved in guiding client relationships, leading her team, and helping drive the continued growth of the New Orleans office.

A New Orleans native, Megan attended Archbishop Blenk High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Loyola University New Orleans. Her interest in finance began early, influenced by her parents’ experience running a small business and the financial decisions that came with it, and this perspective continues to shape her approach today. Her work often bridges the business and personal side of planning, helping clients think through investments, major decisions, and long-term goals in a coordinated way. She is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), which allows her to support business owners through key transitions while keeping their broader financial picture in focus.

She began her career at a national bank before joining CBD Wealth Management, which became part of Beacon Pointe Advisors in 2020. Outside of the office, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe, and their two daughters, Elle and Zoe. She stays actively involved in her community and is a proud member of the Krewe of Orpheus.
