As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), Michael Swinson is equipped with the training, skills, and tools needed to strengthen relationships with business owners and serve as their most trusted advisor.

Through the knowledge learned in the credentialing program, CEPAs® holistically plan for an owner’s life outside of their business while successfully building significant value in their organization prior to their exit. Not only will a CEPA® help you effectively transition your business, but will also advise you on personal and personal financial matters.

I am a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in Virginia who specializes in helping business owners align personal financial success with business success. My work focuses on value acceleration, exit planning, wealth management, and coordinating advisory teams to help owners maximize enterprise value and prepare for future transitions.

I recently earned the CEPA designation and am currently participating in the CEG Master Class program to further develop my expertise serving business owners. I am passionate about collaborative planning and enjoy working alongside CPAs, attorneys, M&A professionals, valuation experts, and fellow CEPAs to help business owners achieve stronger outcomes.

Outside of work, my wife and I enjoy raising our family in the Shenandoah Valley, where we spend much of our time hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, and serving our local community.
