PATRICK SCHILTZ
As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), patrick Schiltz is equipped with the training, skills, and tools needed to strengthen relationships with business owners and serve as their most trusted advisor.
Through the knowledge learned in the credentialing program, CEPAs® holistically plan for an owner’s life outside of their business while successfully building significant value in their organization prior to their exit. Not only will a CEPA® help you effectively transition your business, but will also advise you on personal and personal financial matters.
Can I afford to retire?
I am selling my business. What do I do next?
How can I pay for or help my children/grandchildren pay for college?
How do I set up a retirement plan for my business?
I don't want an inheritance to ruin my children and grandchildren. How do I plan for my financial legacy?
I am going through a divorce. What does this look like financially for me on the other side?
I am paying a lot in taxes. Is there a more tax-efficient way to invest?
Can I afford to buy a second or third property and not derail my retirement?
Should I buy or lease?
Let me make this simple: My job is to help my clients make good decisions. These are decisions that align with the things that are most important to their values, goals and aspirations.
We have a process we work through that helps clients make smart decisions. Then we monitor their progress and make adjustments as we go along. We work together with our clients and their families throughout this process.
Here's a little about my background: I am a Texan. I attended Eastern Illinois University and graduated in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in economics. Before joining Edward Jones in 2005, I was a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board Options Exchange, where I traded stock index options on the exchange floor.
I have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and the Chartered Financial Consultant® designation.
On a personal note, my wife, Bethany, and I have been married for 21 years. We live in Arlington Heights and have four children: Kassidy (17), Kinsey (13), Khloe (12) and Kamden (10). I enjoy barbecuing, fishing and hunting when I can find the time. I have taken up golf over the last few years and enjoy it; however, I have been told not to quit my day job.
I am grateful to be of service to you and your family. I look forward to visiting with you soon.
