ROBERT CHAMBERLIN
Robert Chamberlin is an entrepreneur, board member, and advisor with more than 20 years of experience building, scaling, and successfully exiting security and telecommunications businesses. Across three founder-led companies, he has developed deep expertise in growth strategy, go-to-market execution, organizational scaling, recurring-revenue businesses, M&A readiness, and value creation.
Most recently, Robert founded and served as President and Owner of Security 101’s Northern California operations. Beginning in 2019, he built the business into one of Security 101’s largest franchises and helped it qualify for the SDM 100, which recognizes the largest commercial security companies in the United States. The business was acquired by Gemspring Capital and Security 101 Holdings in December 2025. Robert subsequently served as General Manager through June 2026, helping support the company’s transition to institutional ownership.
Previously, Robert co-founded DataXoom, a mobile virtual network operator providing 4G, 5G, LTE, and IoT connectivity to mid-market and enterprise customers. As Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, he helped take the company from startup through its growth stage. He also served on DataXoom’s Board of Directors until its acquisition by publicly traded ScanSource in November 2025.
Earlier, Robert founded and led True Wireless, building it from a lean startup into one of the nation’s largest value-added wireless resellers serving enterprise and Fortune 500 clients. True Wireless was recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the region’s 100 fastest-growing private companies and appeared on the Inc. 5000. The company was acquired by Wireless Watchdogs, now part of Dataprise, in 2020.
Today, Robert is Founder and Managing Partner of Founder to Founder Partners, where he advises founders, management teams, and investors on growth strategy, exit readiness, business positioning, and M&A transactions. His perspective is shaped by having personally experienced the full entrepreneurial lifecycle - from startup formation and operational scaling through negotiation, sale, and post-transaction transition.
Robert has been affiliated with the Alliance of Chief Executives since 2009 and currently serves as a Managing Director. He interviews and evaluates prospective members, with particular attention to leadership maturity, strategic judgment, and operational rigor. His governance experience also includes service on the boards of DataXoom, ASIS San Francisco, and BOMA Oakland/East Bay. He is a member of the Private Directors Association and the PEF Community, a global peer community of post-exit founders.
Robert is particularly interested in private-company board and advisory roles involving growth strategy, operational scaling, go-to-market execution, M&A readiness, founder succession, and value creation. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three adult sons, following NFL football, and discovering great wines in Napa Valley.
