SCOTT MCCREA
I help business owners and families make confident financial decisions during life's most important transitions. My passion for financial planning comes from personal experience and a firsthand understanding of how quickly circumstances can change. Those experiences reinforced the value of having a thoughtful plan in place.
Growing up on a farm in the Midwest taught me the values of hard work, persistence and integrity. As my family prepared to transition our business to the next generation, we unexpectedly lost the farm. Later, I watched my parents face the challenges that come with Alzheimer's disease. Those experiences showed me how financial, business and healthcare decisions are often deeply connected, and they ultimately inspired my career in financial services.
Today, I help clients navigate important decisions involving retirement income, business succession, tax considerations, estate strategies and other significant life transitions. With a background in both corporate and personal finance, I strive to provide practical guidance tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
I believe your financial strategy should reflect your life, not the other way around. Every relationship begins by understanding what matters most to you. From there, we help develop a personalized strategy designed to support your goals while adapting to life's inevitable changes.
I’m proud to partner with Sarah Stillwell, my senior branch office administrator. Sarah plays a key role in our client experience. Her professionalism and attention to detail help ensure personalized service.
I hold an MBA from Michigan State University, along with the CFP® and CEPA® designations. My travels and studies abroad, particularly in China and Great Britain, broadened my perspective and reinforced my commitment to lifelong learning and exceptional client service.
Outside the office, I serve on the board of Valley Day School and support causes related to autism, epilepsy and Alzheimer’s awareness. My wife, Bronwen, and I have two children, Dylan and Sydney. I enjoy cycling, flying, hunting and working on home projects — especially when they bring me outdoors and clear my mind.
I welcome the opportunity to learn your story and discuss how we can work together toward your financial goals.
