Through the knowledge learned in the credentialing program, CEPAs® holistically plan for an owner’s life outside of their business while successfully building significant value in their organization prior to their exit. Not only will a CEPA® help you effectively transition your business, but will also advise you on personal and personal financial matters.
I was brought on board by IBM (from Dell) to lead a team to reengineer the consumer divisions entire end-to-end business processes with the aim to restore profitability and to position the consumer division (Aptiva, ThinkPad, Server) for sale to a third party. This was a global effort that impacted manufacturing, operations, finance, IT, procurement, and sales in every country IBM operated. I led a cross functional and cross global team ensuring country by country implementation of the new business processes. In 13 months the consumer division was restored to breakeven and in 16 months to profitability. Then over the next 6 months, the various business units were sold to Lenova, Samina, and others.
After this effort, I was brough on board with Flex Intl, as VP of Global Procurement. Flex grew by acquisition and had 45 plants around the world. I was to establish and implement the first ever centralized operating unit to work across all country operations to secure the supply chain and to enable Flex to continue to scale its operations. As with the venture with IBM, this required re-engineering processes and establishing relationships across all the country operating units to secure the implementation.
I have various entreprenural successes, including an exit with a natural foods company that I led from start up to an emerging growth company selling product in the natural food channels across the USA to a medical supply company that I led the transformation of all its key processes enabling it to 2.2x its growth in 13 months.
