As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), Theresa Trayner is equipped with the training, skills, and tools needed to strengthen relationships with business owners and serve as their most trusted advisor.

Through the knowledge learned in the credentialing program, CEPAs® holistically plan for an owner’s life outside of their business while successfully building significant value in their organization prior to their exit. Not only will a CEPA® help you effectively transition your business, but will also advise you on personal and personal financial matters.

As a long-time resident of the Bay Area, I grew up in Alameda and attended Alameda High School. I then went on to graduate from Kaplan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Now I happily reside in Livermore, CA with my husband Josh and our three dogs (Kabuki, Bunny, and Rex). When I'm not spending time walking or training my dogs, I enjoy playing the snare drum in a Scottish pipe band, crafting, and spending time with my friends, and family.

In 2012, I began my journey with Edward Jones as a Branch Office Administrator. By 2018, I was partnered with a financial advisor who truly became a mentor and taught me about the business through the market lens. Together, we created an even more positive effect on our clients while helping them achieve their financial goals. Inspired by my desire to help others, I saw how by furthering my career at Edward Jones I would be able to more directly impact and benefit those in my community.

I look forward to developing meaningful connections with my fellow CEPA advisors to form a strategic team to help my clients achieve the outcomes they desire in the preparation and selling of their businesses.
