THOMAS CLARK

Tom began his career in the financial services industry in 2011. His experience ranges from assisting families achieve the American dream of homeownership to supervising Financial Advisors here in the upstate. Tom joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2015 and today focuses on offering a comprehensive approach to managing wealth that begins with getting to know you and your family, your financial situation and what matters most to you financially. 

Tom is committed to helping you and other owners maximize the value of their business, take their personal wealth plans to the next level, and be prepared for what adventure comes next after transitioning their current company. Tom has sadly, witnessed too many owners work so hard in the business, yet come to the end of their career and find out the business doesn’t reap the benefits nor is it ready enough to successfully transfer to a new owner.

Tom follows the deep-seated Merrill tradition of participating in the communities we serve. He devotes significant time, energy and resources to help create positive change. Tom is enthusiastically involved with assisting charitable organizations such as The Tyger River Foundation, Conserving Carolina, The Pisgah Conservancy, Conestee Nature Preserve and The Friends of Pisgah. Tom is currently on the Planning & Zoning Board for the Town of Reidville.

Tom and his wife Stephanie moved to the Spartanburg area in 2015 from Michigan.  Outside of the office you may find Tom and Stephanie either spending time hiking local trails or taking their dogs to a local dog park.
