Tax Planning Chapter Event

Join the EPI Conejo Valley Chapter on Thursday, November 17, 2022, for a free virtual Chapter Event. During this event, two industry experts will provide an update on current tax legislative matters. Following this update, they will discuss tax strategies useful for clients going through succession planning and exit transactions. To close out this chapter event, the experts will discuss common mistakes they see from clients and CPAs when incorporating tax planning and exit planning strategies.

Meet the Speakers

Eric S. Jones, Shareholder of Nevers, Palazzo, Packard, Wildermuth & Wynner 

Eric Jones counsels privately held companies and their owners in the structuring, negotiation, and closing of strategic transactions. His transactional expertise includes stock and asset acquisitions, financings, mergers, entity conversions and dissolutions, commercial transactions, and corporate governance matters. Eric previously worked as a tax and transactions attorney in the Los Angeles offices of Venable LLP and Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP. He works closely with clients’ tax advisors to address tax issues that may impact pending transactions. Eric speaks on important legal and business issues and has contributed to several legal publications.

Eric earned his Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law. Additionally, he graduated summa cum laude from the California State University at Northridge with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Business Administration (Honors in Business Option).

Chris Davidson, Partner, Venable LLP

Chris Davidson advises clients on a wide range of federal and state tax issues involving corporate, partnership, international, and individual income tax. He focuses primarily on foreign and domestic tax matters for partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations. Chris frequently provides tax planning advice to wealthy individuals and entrepreneurs.
