ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Michael Schwamm
Michael Schwamm represents public and private entities in the cannabis industry in all aspects of their business affairs. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, angel and venture capital financing and other capital formation transactions, as well as providing general corporate counseling. Within the cannabis sector, Mr. Schwamm advises companies of all sizes, including startups, venture-backed companies, privately held businesses and public companies, in all aspects of their business affairs. In particular, he has worked on two of the larger cross-border public company mergers and well as industry roll-ups. He also provides services to venture capital and private equity funds and angel investors as well as high net worth individuals and family offices, in connection with fund formation and investment. Mr. Schwamm has moderated or participated on a number of panels focusing on investing in cannabis.
In 2022, Mr. Schwamm was recognized by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business as one of the top cannabis lawyers in the country, quoting clients as saying, "Michael is collaborative, reliable, and leads a great team. He is very knowledgeable on all things cannabis and M&A and he has great cross-border experience."
Stacey has been involved in the various accounting related aspects of the cannabis industry since 2014. She has provided a wide range of services in the industry including traditional accounting and tax services. Her experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, economic damages, and litigation support services spanning more than twenty five years has enabled her to perform these types of services within the cannabis industry as well. Stacey has helped clients before obtaining their license, new operators and experienced operators, buyers and sellers of cannabis businesses, and those involved in litigation matters.
Stacey earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware and received the Accredited in Business Valuation and Certified in Financial Forensics designations from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Certified Valuation Analyst credential from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). Stacey is past chair of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Cannabis Industry Group and Treasurer of the South Jersey Collaborative Divorce Professionals Group. She has served on numerous committees, including those of the AICPA, NACVA, NACVA – New Jersey, and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as being a published author on topics related to valuation, economic damages, family law, and the cannabis industry. She is a contributor to the New Jersey Cannabis Insider.
Scott is a co-founder and President of The Panther Group. Scott joined the Panther Opportunity Fund (“Panther”), a vintage cannabis focused venture-capital fund with a complementary and diverse set of 17 portfolio companies, in 2017 as a Principal and member of the investment committee. The Panther team is now managing The Panther Micro Fund which is actively deploying capital into new Cannabis companies. Scott first entered the cannabis space in 2014 when he co-founded the Cannabis Rep Network (merged into Calyx Distribution) to provide sales and distribution for brands in California. Prior to Calyx, Scott co-founded a data driven digital ad agency called Audience Partners in 2007 targeting, addressable audiences for the political and healthcare industries. Scott has a degree from the University of Maryland and began his career in the family jewelry manufacturing business based in Philadelphia. From 1988 to present, Scott has worked for the Philadelphia 76ers, as head statistician for all home games.
Will is an experienced business advisor having worked in the Wealth Management field for over 30 years as a wealth manager and entrepreneur. His expertise lies in working with business owners managing their assets along with providing risk management and succession planning. Prior to coming on board with C-Suite IMPACT, Will’s firm managed corporate assets, pensions, and family office structures. His responsibilities include working in C-Suite’s M&A space focusing on Wealth Management firms and providing business consulting to CEOs and business owners.
