ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Meet Michael Richman:
Michael Richman is a husband, father, entrepreneur, mentor, and business leader. With decades of experience in diverse industries and roles, Michael brings a breadth and depth of knowhow to a variety of endeavors.
Currently, Michael is a Professional EOS Implementer® where he works with small to medium sized businesses (10-250 employees) coaching leadership teams to get the most out of their businesses through vision, traction and healthy.
Previously, Michael has owned and operated a 2nd generation multi-million-dollar custom manufacturing company, culminating in a successful exit. While running the company, Michael oversaw all facets of financial, operational, marketing and sales functions. During his tenure, the company doubled in size and increased profitability margins by 20%. He also established long term relationships with some of the premiere names in the hospitality and restaurant industries including Panda Express, Four Seasons Hotels, and Ritz Carlton. Additionally, he has been a sought-after commentator regarding industry, business and entrepreneurship in national publications including USA Today, Hotel Interactive, and INC Magazine.
Earlier, Michael worked as a Vice President of a Commercial Bank heading up the marketing, communications, and outreach to small and medium sized businesses across Southern California. During his tenure there, he was involved in facilitating a large merger between his and a competing institution.
With a degree in Communications from the University of Southern California (USC), and an MBA from California Lutheran University (emphasis in Small Business Entrepreneurship), Michael also believes in community service at large. He has been a mentor at USC for first generation college students, where he worked with them on their transition into college and preparing for careers. Additionally, he is an active member of the Los Angeles Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EOLA), where he chairs the Finance Committee and oversees expenditures and budget. Furthermore, through his involvement in EO, has served as a mentor and coach to numerous business owners that are looking to scale their businesses.
Meet Channing Hamlet:
Channing Hamlet - Channing Hamlet is a Managing Director at Objective, Investment Banking & Valuation focused on leading the firm’s business valuation advisory services practice and transaction execution for its investment banking business services practice. Mr. Hamlet is a results-driven executive that has 25+ years of experience advising business owners on management issues, transaction execution and business valuation. He is able to draw on a diverse background that includes direct management experience as well as strategy consulting, private equity investing, investment banking and business appraisal experience to advise his clients.
Meet Joel Berman
Joel Berman - Drawing on more than 30 years of transactional law practice, Joel Berman takes a business approach to his law practice and developed a unique ability to relate to entrepreneurs and create practical solutions for their needs. In delivering first-rate representation, Joel established a reputation as being innovative, resourceful, hands-on, friendly and always available.
Joel assists clients in preparing for, implementing and completing sales and other capital events, such as equity capital raises and debt borrowings. He is a discerning specialist in secured transactions with an emphasis on asset-based lending, creditors’ remedies and loan workouts. He has extensive experience representing all types of lenders and also represents parties in structuring and implementing mergers and acquisitions.
Joel’s work principally involves acting as general and strategic counsel for small and middle-market companies; negotiating stock and asset acquisitions; structuring and documenting all elements of financial transactions, including revolving and term loan agreements, subordinated and senior debt transactions, syndicated transactions, leveraged buyouts, loans secured by all types of collateral, agency, participation and inter-creditor agreements, equipment leases and letter of credit facilities; and exercising all forms of creditor’s remedies.
In addition to his transactional experience, Joel has extensive experience in conducting and supervising commercial litigation in state and bankruptcy courts. Joel has been the lead attorney in charge of workouts involving personal property, real property, mixed collateral and unsecured loans for national banks, community banks, mortgage companies, financial institutions, manufacturers and other business entities.
Meet Lindsay Nahmiache:
Lindsay Nahmiache, CEO Of Jive Pr+Digital -- Lindsay is an exited entrepreneur and an investor in 13 active companies (private, public and multiple exits). She recently bought an ecommerce skincare business and is in the process of scaling that.

- A founding member of Legacy 8, an early stage venture capital fund that focuses on technology and consumer brands.

- Developed a financial literacy + entrepreneurial app and book for kids called Pogo Pig, I mentors young entrepreneurs, I am an adviser for St. Paul's Hospital Foundation's Future Leaders and I co-founded the not-for-profit Projecting Change Film Festival.
- Loves golf, neuroscience, human potential and starting to play tennis.
Meet Brian Zaumeyer:
Brian Zaumeyer is an independent investor with over 20 years of private equity and related experience. Mr. Zaumeyer is the founder of New Aero Capital, LLC, which is an independent investment platform formed to pursue independent controlling stake investments in private companies in the Aerospace & Defense industry.
Prior to forming New Aero Capital, Mr. Zaumeyer was a Managing Principal of Odyssey Investment Partners, which is a middle market private equity firm with approximately $5 billion AUM and a 30-year history of making transformative investments in select industrial and services sectors. During his 13-year tenure as part of Odyssey’s Los Angeles office, Mr. Zaumeyer was responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring investments across various industrial sectors, including aerospace & defense, among others. During his tenure at Odyssey, Mr. Zaumeyer served on the boards of Wencor Group, BarrierSafe Solutions, L-com and AllClear Aerospace & Defense, and also lead the firm’s origination effort.
Prior to Odyssey, Mr. Zaumeyer was a principal at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, where he focused on sourcing, executing and monitoring private equity investments in various industrial sectors. Prior to joining DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, he worked in the Investment Banking Divisions of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse from 1999 to 2005, where he focused on financing and advisory services for private equity clients, and previously was an associate at boutique M&A advisory firm Unterberg, Towbin, focused on aerospace & defense clients.
