ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Meet Mike Colella:
Mike is a Senior Vice President with Murphy McCormack Capital Advisors (“MMCA”), a boutique investment bank based in Central PA. Mike joined MMCA in 2025 to lead their expansion into Western PA, OH and WV. In this role, Mike advises owners and executives of middle market companies with sell-side, buy-side, valuation, and debt advisory services. He also works closely with family offices, private equity groups, and independent sponsors.
Mike is passionate about maximizing outcomes for business owners and sponsors who are seeking an exit from their business. He also enjoys advising companies on scaling through mergers and acquisitions, as well as attracting new sources of capital to help fuel the expansion.
Prior to joining MMCA, Mike enjoyed a 15-year career in commercial banking, advising middle market companies on financing strategies for succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, business expansion and working capital. He also developed a deep expertise in Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). Mike has experience across a broad array of industries including business services, manufacturing, distribution, transportation & logistics, and professional services.
Mike began his professional career as an Assistant National Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Throughout his career, Mike has served on numerous boards, including: The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Young Professionals Board, the Scholarship Committee of the Downtown Pittsburgh Rotary Club, and Human Services Center of New Castle, PA.
Mike attended The University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a major in Finance and minor in Economics.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and is an avid golfer. He currently resides in Cranberry Township, PA.
