ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Meet David Tolson:
David co-founded Class VI in 2005 with a mission to Enable the Entrepreneurial Spirit. Sharing a passion for what entrepreneurs mean to our community, David and his business partner Chris Younger felt they could do a better job for business owners and have had a great time helping clients ever since.
Prior to Class VI, David founded CapitalValue in 2001, a valuation services firm providing valuations to mid-market entrepreneurs in the Rocky Mountain Region. In addition to his valuation experience, David was responsible for business and corporate development for a number of startups and most notably, he created and ran a highly successful strategic business unit at JD Edwards, an enterprise resource planning software company.
Professionally, David is a member of NACVA (National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts). David holds the CBA (Certified Business Appraiser) designation and has been recognized as a Distinguished Member of the Institute of Business Appraisers for his commitment to the valuation profession.
David is a graduate of Colorado State University (B.A.) and the University of Colorado, Denver (MBA).
Meet Carolyn Ryan:
Carolyn is a business broker and advisor who has spent over 30 combined years as a business owner and a global business development specialist. As a broker, her goal is to defend other business owners’ vision and purpose. Carolyn spent 17 years in the global development of Colorado’s home-grown brands, Celestial Seasonings and Gaiam. Carolyn has also lived overseas and travelled internationally for work.
Carolyn earned a BS in Marketing from Arizona State University and an Executive MBA from the University of Denver. She was born in Colorado and currently lives in Louisville with her husband.
Meet Jon Underkofler:
Jon has over 25 years of banking, investment management, and financial planning experience, as well as, professional expertise in financial, estate, retirement, and charitable planning. He joined Bernstein from BNY Mellon where he was the director of the overall wealth management strategy, including new business and relationship development of the firms clientele in the Rocky Mountain region.
Jon attended Arizona State University studying Economics and earned a Masters in Finance from Northwestern University. Jon and his wife along with their children live in Highland Ranch where they enjoy boating, skiing, hiking, and biking.
