ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Rico Casares works closely with advisors to understand their
unique business models and provides strategic guidance in
areas such as business planning, human capital, technology
integration, marketing, and acquisition. Since joining AssetMark
as a Business Consultant in 2012, he has advised over 500
independent financial advisors.
With nearly 30 years of leadership experience in the financial
services industry, Rico has held pivotal roles at one of the
nation’s largest independent broker-dealers and multiple
insurance companies. His responsibilities have included:
• Leading advisor and client services departments, ensuring operational excellence and
regulatory compliance.
• Training insurance agents in the sale of financial services products.
• Managing and marketing one of Florida’s largest and most successful title insurance agencies.
• Overseeing and expanding more than 200 Offices of Supervisory Jurisdiction across the
Southeast.
Rico holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University
of South Florida and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
He also holds the CFP® and CLU® designations along with the
Series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses and completed the
Registered Corporate Coach (RCC) program through the
Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Based in Indian Shores, Florida, Rico enjoys working out,
relaxing on the beach, and traveling the country to attend
sporting events with his wife
