Employee stock ownership plans offer meaningful, flexible alternatives to traditional M&A exits. But some businesses are better suited for ESOPs than others.
So, when is it worth exploring a leveraged ESOP with your client? David Blauzvern, an award-winning advisor with CSG Partners, will share baseline metrics and standard scenarios that commonly yield successful employee ownership transactions and drive sustainable business transitions. He’ll also cover the pros and cons of a leveraged ESOP while illustrating the costs and benefits of a typical transaction.
This session is geared for exit planning advisors with a basic understanding of ESOPs who have yet to apply an employee ownership strategy in a real-world engagement. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions in a live Q&A.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize when ESOPs are a good fit for closely-held companies
- Understand relevant employee ownership use cases
- See examples of multi-stage ESOP succession strategies
