WEATHERING THE EFFECTS OF INTEREST RATES, INFLATION, AND THE ECONOMY IN THE LOWER AND MIDDLE MARKETS
We will explore the challenges and opportunities of M&A in the current economic climate, with a focus on lower and middle market (“LMM”) transactions. We will cover the impact on LMM companies as Private Equity buyers are navigating the effects of rising interest rates and inflation. The Align team will provide market insights on deal activity with an emphasis on how to weather the current economic climate.
Learning Objectives:
- Public market volatility as a result of rising interest rates and inflation has caused Private Equity investors to re-evaluate their strategies.
- Debt has become expensive when structuring deals.
- Private equity companies are looking down market at smaller acquisitions, which is a net positive for the LMM
