John’s daughter calls him the renaissance man. As an interventional radiologist and managing partner, John doubled the practice's revenue and grew interventional procedures by over 500%.
After a health challenge disrupted his medical career, John had some choices to make when he heard this advice from Wayne Dyer: “When we begin to change the way we look at things, the things we look at begin to change.”
He started over five successful businesses, in real estate and consulting, all still in operation, and has taken that knowledge to become a platinum certified business consultant and profit strategist. John and Lanette (wife and business partner) are the authors of multiple 'Doctor Your Business' books.
Lanette in many ways has reinvented herself over the years as well. She started out as a specialized radiology technologist in the fields of MRI and CT at the famed MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Lanette, with her second daughter Amanda, embarked on a new career in real estate and invested in dozens of properties, flipping some and holding others. They founded a property management firm and operated in six different states and were wildly successful in their endeavors.
Currently, John and Lanette own a business consulting firm (Market Breakthrough Specialists), and a multifamily acquisition company (Acquisition Physician). They are general partners in 682 units and passive investors in 1650 units & 860K square feet of industrial & grocery anchored centers. They are founding investors in the largest agency M&A aggregator in the USA.
The most satisfying part of their journey is witnessing when others realize that, as Henry David Thoreau put it, “If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”
