[Cleveland, OH] Exit Planning Institute Community Event Recap

On July 10, the Exit Planning Institute hosted an Open House to celebrate the moving of its headquarters. Members and Advisors came from all over to support EPI and explore the new space. The Open House was a great way for members of the EPI network to meet the newest members of the team face to face. You may have seen our recent blog post about our growing team and new space, but words cannot describe the feeling of team that is experienced every day in office. The core values and brand promise are hang on the walls to guide the team. We hope every attendee was able to experience the camaraderie that is built by the EPI team. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and we look forward to seeing everyone again at the Summit coming up in September.

The event also took place during the first Owner Engagement Membership (OEM) mini Summit.  The Owner Engagement Program available exclusively to Certified Exit Planning Advisors (CEPA) in good standing. The platform provides you access to licensed owner education content and executive coaching in the areas of exit planning engagement execution and marketing strategy.

EPI Vice President, Scott Snider, spoke about what this open house meant and signified to him. Not too long ago, the global headquarters of the Exit Planning Institute was in the back of a cigar shop. Through his dedication and perseverance EPI became what it is today/ The new building and growing team is a dream come true for Snider and he remarked how the Open House was team effort by each member of the EPI staff and that it would not have been possible without everyone. He also acknowledged that the growth of EPI was and still is a team effort and that this is just the beginning for our organization.

As a part of our Open House, we wanted to bring attention to a local organization, America Scores.

America Scores, inspires Cleveland youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. America Scores is an organization that Scott Snider is passionate about. He has been on the board for six years. Snider found that his personal core values align with the values of America Scores which immediately ignited his need to become involved with the organization.

The Executive Director of America Scores Cleveland, Debi Pence-Meyenberg also spoke about America Scores and the beneficial role that it plays in the community. As the Executive Director her goal is to provide youth with access to resources and support to succeed.  To donate to America Scores, click here.

“This Methodology is Going to Supercharge My Practice!” -Justin Goodbread, CEPA, CFP®

Official ‘Exit Planning’ Definition: Exit planning combines the plan, concept, effort, and process into a clear, simple strategy to build a business that is transferable through strong human, structural, customer, and social capital. The future of the business owner, his/her family, and the business itself are addressed by exit planning through creating value today.

Exit planning is not just a plan (or a keyed-in report to print out for an owner). It is a strategy rooted in execution that grows value while expanding options so that an owner can transition the business on his/her terms when they are ready. It aligns the business, personal, and financial needs of the owner. Good exit planning utilizes the Value Acceleration Methodology™ to move clients through discovery, prepare, and decide gates. Certified Exit Planning Advisors (CEPA) educate the owner on all of the exit options and enters an engagement with an exit-option-agnostic perspective as to truly serve the business owner’s diverse needs. CEPAs collaborate with a seasoned, multi-disciplinary team of professionals to support the success of the business owner and use each other’s specialties and expertise to the benefit of the project.
