PETER CARR

Peter J. Carr, CEPA® is a Senior Vice President with Morgan Stanley and has provided customized investment advice for over 30 years.
As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor®, Peter works with business owners to create a multi-disciplinary approach to preparing their business for eventual transition to help them achieve their personal, business and financial goals.
Peter focuses his efforts primarily on helping clients analyze their objectives, tactical asset allocation policies, selecting investment managers, portfolio construction, monitoring of investment strategies and strategic planning. His clients include high net worth individuals, family owned business, and families with substantial concentrated equity positions (both public and private), and who are concerned about the potential risk associated with not being broadly diversified. The main focus of his practice involves assisting wealthy families in coordination of their comprehensive wealth management needs, by working with their legal and tax advisors on areas relating to the growth, protection, and transfer of their wealth to the charities and individuals that they most care about. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses and has a certificate in financial planning from the American College.
After growing up Ft. Lauderdale, Peter served in the United States Army, where he attended language school and studied Romanian.
Peter is a supporter of the St. Vincent’s Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, Take Stock in Children of Nassau County, Council on Aging of Nassau County, and the Morgan Stanley Foundation.
Peter and his wife Carolyn live in Amelia Island with their dog Lola and a couple of rescue cats. He is conversationally fluent in Spanish. Peter’s son, Ryan, is a Polytech Graduate and a Chemical Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts. In his spare time, Peter enjoys traveling and motorcycling.
