Do Transformational Leaders
Boost Human Capital?

Business owners who achieve dramatic results maximize human capital. The challenges we have encountered in the past year have reinforced our core beliefs about leadership. Two things separate the best leaders and the best organizations. It’s how they make decisions and how they solve problems. Human capital makes the difference.

Transformational leaders know how to shape impactful teams and leaders who make decisions and solve problems more effectively. The decision to invest wisely will take you on a journey beyond skills and processes. You have to explore leadership at a deeper level. It’s begins with the values and beliefs within your people and yourself.

Transformational leadership is an inside out process that rarely, if ever, happens in isolation. It’s a team sport.  And it will never happen if you’re afraid of being uncomfortable in the presence of other leaders. It requires the courage to engage with other team members who will journey with you and practice giving and receiving honest feedback in real time.

Excellence has a significant human component. Rosetta Riley, protégé of Edwards Deming and Lean Manufacturing contributor, recognized that even the best processes are limited by human dynamics such as work culture, environment and teamwork. For insights into this, she reached out to her friend and colleague, Dr. Fred Johnson. Riley and Johnson got to work teaching leaders how to drive performance and effectiveness in their organizations and InitiativeOne was born.

At InitiativeOne, we look at leadership a little differently. Because we know meaningful organizational change isn’t about learning new skills. It’s about changing at the human level. Below the surface. In the hearts and minds of your company’s leaders. And it starts with you.

That’s why we call what we do leadership transformation. We don’t just train leaders — we partner with you and your team, bringing a proven, research-based process that helps leaders find deeper understanding of themselves and each other. We’ll get in the trenches with you and your team. Together, we’ll create an ongoing conversation that eliminates the barriers, hidden agendas and below-the-surface drama that holds teams back.
